LA Arboretum Engagement Photos

If you're looking for a location that has garden vibes, historic architecture, mountain views, and hidden little corners everywhere you turn, the Los Angeles County Arboretum is such a dream for engagement photos.

One of my favorite things about the Arboretum is the variety. Within just a short walk, we can photograph among towering palm trees, romantic rose gardens, charming white pergolas, peaceful ponds, fountains, and even the iconic Queen Anne Cottage.

Don't Forget the Permit!

One thing to know before planning your session is that the Arboretum does require a photography permit for professional photo sessions.

The permit process is pretty straightforward, but it does need to be arranged ahead of time. Permit fees and policies can change, so I always recommend checking directly with the Arboretum before your session. I'm also happy to help point you in the right direction so everything is squared away before your photo day.

Think Less "Photoshoot" and More "Date"

My goal isn't to have you standing and smiling at the camera for an hour.

Instead, I want your session to feel like you're spending the afternoon together. We'll walk the gardens, laugh, steal a few kisses, twirl around by the fountains, and stop whenever we find beautiful light. I'll guide you the whole time, but nothing is overly posed or stiff.
